Commercial Manager
OX2 Technical & Commercial Management (“TCM”) is operating renewable
energy assets on behalf of the owners (investors). This includes among others the
monitoring via an electronic system, ensuring error free operations, management
of operations and maintenance providers, and regular reporting of the performance towards the owners according to the owner’s requirements. We provide reporting and analytical services to the investors.
TCM is the owner’s representative towards the O&M provider and thus is
monitoring and inspecting the WTGs (and entire park). TCM continuously tries to optimize the returns from the investment for the owners; this includes the facilitation of cost reductions, the improvement of operations, and renegotiations of service contracts.
OX2 TCM manages all local activities e.g. interface with land-owner, authorities
and site management, provides analysis of the performance, management of
insurance claims and special projects.
Key responsibilities
- Check and contribute to reporting (final approval of needed reports)
- Cooperate with the client, monitoring, reporting, and Site Managers team
- Analyze commercial performance of wind parks and PV farms
- Find and implement cost and performance improvements for the wind & PV assets
- Commercial analysis for the renewable assets going forward (budget, planning &
- operations) and backward
- Monitor the regulatory environment
- Manage contact with local authorities and service providers
- Manage contact with grid companies and other stakeholders
Areas of responsibility:
Technical Management
- Identify the commercial impact of problems together with the Site
Managers(if not business as usual) and when the owner or other stakeholders
e.g. insurance companies have to be involved.
- The manager shall follow and act according to prevailing OX2 routines &
legislation of the country (where the park is located) for HSE, electrical and
other work. - Contribute and support monthly and annual reporting by adding operational
events, planned O&M activities, unusual events and errors out of the ordinary
together with the SM. - Work with the OX2 team to find ways to improve the performance
(availability and commercial) of renewable assets. - Follow up on HSE deviations that are assigned to the Site.
Planning
- The manager support with the planning of the inspections for each year. This
includes the optimization of the inspection timing, travel and in coordination
with the Client Manager the input on the energy generation and the customer
agreements. - Develop and plan a forward-looking operations and management plan to
control the main O&M events and commercial and contractual deadlines. This
O&M planning shall be shared with the investors.
Accounting/Financial management
- Support in the collaboration with the customers external Accounting
providers. - Explore potential up sales connected to Financial controlling etc. together with
the Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Knowledge about the renewable industry
- Understanding of commercial operations of wind & photovoltaic assets
- Good communication skills orally and in writing (in both Polish and English)
- MS Office, in particular Excel
- SCADA systems (understanding and interpretation / not essential initially)
