OX2's Romanian team is expanding rapidly together with the pipeline, and we are now looking for two Development Project Managers to join our journey. One role will be more senior, suitable for someone with extensive project management experience in renewable energy, while the other will fit a candidate with a solid foundation and potential for growth. You will play a critical role in driving renewable energy projects from initial concept to Ready-to-Build (RTB), ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Development Project Manager

We are seeking two skilled and driven Development Project Managers to lead the development of renewable energy projects (wind onshore, photovoltaic, BESS). You will manage a portfolio of greenfield and partially developed projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As Project Managers, you will lead cross-functional project teams, manage key stakeholders, and navigate complex development landscapes.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in solar, wind, and/or energy storage projects, showcasing proficiency in both technical expertise and project management skills. In the capacity of Development Project Manager, you will assume pivotal roles in the oversight of the scouting, development, execution, and successful delivery of renewable energy projects.

Your main responsibilities:

• First and foremost: guarantee compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the entire working activity.
• Identify potential opportunities for solar, wind, and energy storage projects that align with our strategic objectives and renewable energy portfolio.
• Develop and maintain project budgets and timelines while leading and optimizing project strategies.
• Establishing the budget and execution schedule. Project management to ensure good quality within budget constraints and timeline.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including internal staff and external consultants.
• Secure permits, land agreements, and grid connections while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Manage risks, resolve issues proactively, and ensure project constructability and market competitiveness.
  

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders. 
• Conduct due diligence assessments for project acquisitions and stay informed about industry trends.
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and market intelligence.

Your qualifications and experience:

We are looking for driven and passionate professionals who want to shape the future of renewable energy.

Experience & Expertise:

You have a strong background in project management within the renewable energy sector, particularly in wind and solar PV projects. For the senior role, you bring at least 5  years of experience managing complex, large-scale renewable projects. For the second role, you have 2 years of relevant project development experience and show clear potential for growth.

You excel at leading teams, managing stakeholders, and driving projects to completion while balancing budgets and timelines. Your track record demonstrates success in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and securing key permits, land agreements, and grid connections.

You demonstrate a proactive approach to building long-term relationships, complemented by strong communication skills.

Education & Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering/Construction field.
• Showcase a proven track record of successfully developing and overseeing renewable energy projects, particularly focusing on solar, wind, and storage technologies. With a minimum of 2/5+ years of experience working in the renewables sector (precisely in WIND and SOLAR projects).
• Understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
• Display familiarity with pertinent regulations, permitting procedures, and environmental considerations prevalent in the renewable energy sector.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Showcase strong problem-solving abilities and the adaptability to navigate evolving circumstances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
• Openness to change and flexibility
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite is expected.
