Technical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the technical aspects of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and storage, from development to operation.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Project Manager (TPM) at OX2, you will lead engineering teams throughout the development and execution of energy systems projects (including wind, solar, and energy storage), ensuring their successful construction and operation. This role involves managing the technical design, including grid design, civil works, energy yield, technology integration, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize designs and deliver projects on time and within budget. Additionally, you will oversee quality management, risk handling, and ensure effective change management during construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers, including civil engineers, construction engineers, grid connection managers, and technology specialists (e.g., wind turbine performance engineers, solar project engineers, and storage project engineers).
- Act as the main point of contact for technical queries within projects.
- Manage the technical design and integration of the full energy system, including PV plants, wind turbines, storage systems, grid connections, substations, civil works, foundations, and control systems.
- Ensure CAPEX and OPEX assumptions align with capacity and yield during development.
- Ensure timely delivery of technical outputs by setting up an engineering time plan and following progress.
- Ensure that designs are carried out according to applicable regulations, norms, and permits, along with project-specific requirements, including grid connection and market compliance.
- Conduct optimization analyses to ensure the best-value energy system, challenging and coordinating the engineering team to align with financial analyses from the transaction team.
- Act as a Client Representative during the development phase, with a focus on Health and Safety responsibilities and risk management.
- Organize engineering checkpoints and ensure that all necessary findings are addressed.
- Work with procurement teams on issuing RFQs, reviewing bids, and supporting technical negotiations.
- Collaborate with construction teams to set up and execute quality follow-up plans.
- Provide technical expertise and oversight at various stages of the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized and clear documentation for project-specific technical deliverables.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and manage external technical advisors.

- Ability to make persuasive and informative presentations to peers, leadership, and stakeholders.
Professional Experience and Education:
- Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Several years of project management experience within the energy sector, particularly in renewable energy projects (wind, solar, or storage).
- Strong understanding of the development process for energy systems and energy project finance.
- Experience working in multinational organizations with projects across multiple countries is preferred.
- Construction experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Polish and English.
