Energy Storage Technical/Construction Project Manager

Join OX2 and play a pivotal role in delivering utility-scale energy storage projects. We’re seeking a driven and hands-on professional with expertise in BESS project engineering, procurement, or construction to support projects across development, financial close, and construction phases.

Your main responsibilities as Technical Project Manager:

Lead the technical design of energy storage projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and project requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize design and mitigate risks.

Manage technical inputs for financial modeling, EPC contracts, and procurement.

Conduct techno-economic optimizations and oversee grid connection requirements.

Your main responsibilities as Construction Project Manager:

Oversee construction activities in various geographies (e.g., Sweden, Poland, Italy).

Act as the primary point of contact for EPC contracts and battery supply agreements.

Ensure smooth handover to asset management and investors.

Conduct site visits and maintain clear project documentation.

Depending on your experience, the role can be pivoted from technical project management during development, engineering and procurement phases towards project management during the construction phase. The skills, ability and willingness to do so will be highly valued.

Your qualifications and experience:

Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering degree

Experience: 3–5 years in utility-scale BESS engineering and/or construction. Expertise in MV/HV grid connections and EPC processes. Strong understanding of the engineering and construction process for BESS projects.

Skills: Strong project management, problem-solving, and technical knowledge. Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS) is a plus.

Familiarized with the international standards which apply to BESS projects.

Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, with excellent communication skills.

Language: Fluent English; other languages (e.g., Swedish, Italian, Polish, Finnish) are a plus.

Experience within the following areas are valuable but not required:

Several years’ experience from working in a multinational organization. Meriting with experience of projects in several countries. 

Experience with the development process for energy storage projects is meriting

Employment rate: Full time

Location: Stockholm. Alternative locations with existing OX2 office can be considered.
