Solar Procurement Manager
Lead global sourcing for solar and storage projects, drive high-impact procurement in a fast-growing international renewables team
We’re looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurial Procurement Manager to join our global Procurement team, focusing on Solar PV. This is a central role within our growing international procurement organization, responsible for managing strategic sourcing of EPC services, key components, and systems for our solar and storage projects globally.
As Procurement Manager, you will help shape the way we procure both direct and indirect goods and services in these emerging area. You will work cross-functionally with technical, commercial, legal, and construction teams – driving competitive, high-quality and risk-optimized procurement across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement process for major technological equipment such as panels and inverters.
- Coordinate procurement processes for EPC contracts, BoP (Balance of Plant), eBOP and others.
- Manage sourcing activities including RFQs, tender evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract finalization.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance, costs, and market dynamics in the global solar market.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on budgeting, technical specifications, construction planning and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate post-contract activities including claims handling, insurance matters, and performance reviews.
- Contribute to the development of procurement strategies, tools, templates, and best practices in a scaling organization.
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone with a pragmatic mindset and strong interpersonal skills – someone who can thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and take ownership from day one. Ideally, you bring:
- Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within solar PV or similar technology sectors.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (e.g. FIDIC, ABT, Orgalim).
- International market understanding, particularly for components and systems with global supply chains.
- Ability to work across functions and cultures with a collaborative mindset.
- High sense of ownership, structure, and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English, Italian is a strong plus.
- Relevant academic background in engineering, business, or related fields.
Location & Travel
This role is preferably based in Milan, where we are building up solar center of competence. Some travel within Europe may be required.
